Adult Day Program at Sheridan Open During Strike

The Oakville Adult Day Program on the Sheridan campus will remain OPEN for business during the strike by Sheridan staff. We are employed by Acclaim Health therefore our staff are not on strike.

All caregivers and clients are being issued “strike passes” to display on the dash board of your vehicle.  This will allow you through the picket lines to the program.  Approach the picketers slowly, bring your car to a complete stop and follow their directions. Explain to them that you are dropping a relative off at the Acclaim Health Adult Day Program.

Please access the program using Ceremonial Road.

Please allow yourself extra time to access/exit the College property. If your relative is transported by Canadian Red Cross, we will be notifying them of the strike also.

If you choose not to drive your relative to the program, you will still be billed for the registered day.

Acclaim Health is working with Sheridan to minimize the impact on clients and families that utilize the Adult Day Program.

If you have any questions, please contact Renita Wood, Director of Alzheimer Services, or Maureen Flynn, Supervisor of the Oakville Adult Day Program at 905-847-9559.
