When to refer:
- Family member has received a life-limiting diagnosis
- Parents/caregivers express worry or is reluctant to talk to kids about diagnosis
- Child or youth is struggling to cope with family member’s illness
- Child or youth who have experienced the death of a loved one
- Parent/caregiver is seeking information about parenting through grief
